Mother-Son team, Jeanine Burge and David Gaviola started Silver Spoon Specialties in 2010. Jeanine brings more than 25 years of experience as an event planner as well as 13 years in the catering industry. David attended culinary school in the south of France and brings more than 10 years of experience to the business. His unique style of cooking has brought Silver Spoon Specialties to a new level. He takes great pride in the food that is served so it’s not only fresh and delicious but also extraordinary to look at! This is the driving force behind the scenes and it’s the primary reason that the business has achieved such success.

“Did on premises catering twice this summer from this establishment. Jeanine the owner was extremely helpful, had excellent input in putting our menu together, and the food was amazing! The poke on the wonton was top notch, along with the seafood station, and Kobe burgers were cooked to perfection.The hanger steak, lobster, bbq chicken and ribs also outrageously delicious. Service was very polite, accommodating, and professional. So glad we found this on yelp while we did a rental out in East Hampton.”

“My first trip to Silver Spoon was a great success. After hearing recommendations for a while, I finally elected to give it a go. When I saw the Korean Hot Chicken Sandwich among the day's specials, I knew the direction in which I would tread. I perused the wines next door whilst waiting for my sandwich and the fellow who worked there asked what I'd ordered his eyes nearly rolled back in his head when I told him. "Sooooo good," he moaned. "As are the pork quesadillas," he added.He was correct. I took the sandwich home with the intention of plating it and eating it in a civilized manner, but that did not happen. I devoured it straight from the box. I am only saddened because the experience did not last longer. If you want to see and be seen, by all means lunch at Babette's. If you want delicious food that is ever so slightly off the beaten path, head for Silver Spoon. Hooray!”

“I must preface this review by telling you all that I am an event planner and a TOUGH critic. Silver Spoon blew me away! Jeanine literally became my best friend over the course of planning. Anything I wanted, she made happen-even though at times I am sure I was driving her crazy with some of my requests. I expect perfection and she delivered.Leading up to the event, she didn't miss a beat, despite being extremely busy this summer with the launch of her new store and many other events.The food is DELICIOUS and tasty-didn't have a thing to complain about. There are good healthy options but also some yummy ways to be "bad" as well. “ I love the variety of the menu I was able to serve my guests and the freshness of it all. The tuna literally tasted like it was caught that day.The overall service cannot be beat. Yes Jeanine was amazing up until the event, but the actual event staff were on point, and fun to be around! They made it enjoyable-and Chef David is ADORABLE! He has a great personality and makes delicious food. And everything that was supposed to be hot was served hot. That is my biggest pet peeve to eat food cold that should be hot. I am that person that sends things back to restaurants when it isn't burning hot.All Covid safety measures and protocols were followed. Not easy to do at an outside event and be awesome for its entirety. ”

And Jeanine was there until the very last minute of set up to make sure I was set up for an awesome event and happy with everything.The service definitely can't be beat...and the food matches the epic service as well. Good people, good food, good service=A DAMN GOOD TIME FOR YOU! They will do everything for you and you don't have to lift a finger. I was truly so happy that I could sit and enjoy my event. Without this company, I don't think that would have been possible. “Recently hired Jeanine for a standing cocktail party for about 65 people in Amagansett and all went so smoothly that my husband and I were truly able to enjoy everything. Jeanine was super easy to work with, friendly, and flexible, and her staff was on top of everything and were wonderful. They were all prepared, came on time, set everything up beautifully (even platters I did not hire them to do), and cleaned everything up really well and quickly. The food was very good- we just did about 6 passed hors d'oeuvres and I got compliments from everyone. Also importantly, Jeanine was truly the most competitively priced caterer on the East End with the best policies about gratuity and administrative fees, and was flexible about the potential to postpone to even next summer if the weather didn't cooperate. I would 100% use Jeanine again and consider her booked already in my head for next year's party!”

“We had to replan our entire June wedding due to Covid so we went with an intimate backyard wedding and the one thing we knew was extremely important to us was the food and service options. When we came across Silver Spoon and spoke to the owner Jeanine, I knew we wanted to use their service for our special day. She was kind and comforting on the phone while being the upmost professional. Not to mention how many emails we exchanged (large part from myself being a bride) just made the experience leading up to the big day that much more appreciated.As for the food everything was wonderful we did a menu more like a bbq and added lobster rolls to the mix (I love lobster & husband loves bbq) but the number one thing on their menu that I still crave is their jalapeño honey butter corn bread! Seriously need to try it if you can.The Team! I cannot say enough about the team they were so sweet and so accommodating, flexible and just made you really feel like we hired the right people to do the right job. I am in the customer service industry and I was beyond pleased with each and every one of them. We hired a Bartender, two wait staff and a chef all of them have the best personalities and just made you feel the way you need to at your wedding.Jeanine - one thing to never let go of is your team with how wonderful the food was they really took the cake on presenting your company and services on a very special day.All in all I would book Silver Spoon for any event small or large in the future without hesitation!”

From our initial inquiry to the night of our wedding, Jeanine and her staff were incredibly helpful, responsive, and pleasant to do business with--and of course, it goes without saying that their food was delicious! She worked with us to build an initial menu that aligned to our budget and wedding style, and was a complete doll about making revisions in the months leading up to the event when we (often) changed our minds about a dish here or a dish there. Jeanine's amenability was matched by her generous and knowledgeable advice and event coordination skills. We didn't have a wedding planner, and she went above and beyond to help us with the logistics at the venue and the flow of the night.
